Creamed coconut is also known as Coconut Concentrate. It is the fresh meat of a mature coconut fruit that has not been sweetened, dried, and mashed into a semi-solid white creamy paste. Creamed Coconut is prepared to be consumed without extra processing.
Coconut Cream and Creamed Coconut are not the same things. Coconut Cream has a maximum moisture level of approximately 74%, whereas Creamed Coconut has a maximum moisture content of only 3% and is naturally known as Coconut Concentrate.
